Commercial Invoice

Commercial invoice is one of the most important documents in ocean freight shipments and international trade. It is mandatory for all custom clearance procedures and is provided by the shipper of the goods. Commercial invoice does not have standard format but must include the following transaction information: all the parties involved in the transaction, seller, consignee, shipping company, terms of delivery, country of manufacture, complete description of the merchandise, number of articles being shipped, value of the goods, date and signature of the authorized person. The primary purpose of the invoice is to calculate custom duties.
