Certificate of origin
Certificate of Origin (CO) is internationally recognized document certifying the origin where the goods have been manufactured. This often can be quite confusing definition, especially when less than 100% of the materials produced in one country are involved in forming the final product and used in the manufacturer process to contribute to the added value. In general goods originate from certain country when more than 50 % of the sale price is generated in this country after raw material major manufacture transformation. This ratio may vary between different countries and international agreements.
Certificate of Origin may state trade block rather than single country when countries are bind in trade agreement: European Union, North America Free trade Agreement, etc. The country importing the goods may require Certificate of Origin to be verified by official body in the exporting country. CO is mainly used for proper goods classification, health regulations and custom duties in the importing country. If customer requires K&K Global LLC offer Certificate of Origin validation for all the shipments manufactured and originated from US with US Chamber of Commerce, verification and validation fee will apply. The certificate of origin must be signed by the shipper and notarized and validated by US chamber of Commerce. The purpose is to authenticate the origin of the goods.
